A Life Built on
Hard Work, Preparation and Persistence
Early Life
Dax was raised in New York City by parents who taught him the values that would eventually shape his approach to practicing law.
His father enlisted in the Navy, served in Vietnam, and later joined the Coast Guard, retiring after 27 years of service. From him, Dax learned what he calls “blue collar ethics”: work hard, keep your word, and get the job done right.
His mother was a substitute teacher who taught him the importance of preparation, strong communication, and, perhaps most importantly, listening to people.
Those lessons have stayed with Dax throughout his caree
Life in Washington
Dax has called the Pacific Northwest home since 1988. During his high school years in Woodinville, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, raced road bikes with a nationally ranked cycling team, and worked his way up at Safeway from bagger to checker and eventually Assistant Produce Manager.
Outside the courtroom, Dax enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. The family spends time exploring Washington, taking day trips to Vashon Island, visiting local street fairs, watching sports, and occasionally taking in a professional sporting event.
His background outside the law is part of what makes his approach to clients personal. He understands that behind every case is a person, a family, a career, and a life that matters.

Dax’s legal career has been focused on one thing: representing people who have been injured because of someone else’s negligence.
His experience includes work at established personal injury practices, where he developed a reputation for thorough preparation, hard work, and consistent communication with clients. Those principles ultimately became the foundation of The Jones Firm.
Today, personal injury law remains the sole focus of his practice. Dax personally represents injured people throughout Bellevue and communities across Washington, bringing decades of focused experience to every case.

Pacific Northwest
Dax moves to Washington, beginning a lifelong connection to the Pacific Northwest that would become home.
2002
Begins Practicing Law
Graduates from Seattle University School of Law and begins practicing personal injury law.
2006
The Jones Firm
Dax establishes The Jones Firm with a focus exclusively on representing injured people.
Today
